The Tower, The Moon, The Gun project sees Abridged at the end of our 20th anniversary year continue to explore how when reason fails us we grasp around for any port in the storm. How we find comfort and constancy in myth, pseudo-science, and any snake-oil seller or chancer that shouts loud enough. We don’t believe that pieces of cardboard can tell our future though perhaps they are a sign (so to speak) that confirms in our minds the way to go. They give us an excuse. And in the days when fascism is on the rise and protest is merely performative, we really need a place to go.
Thanks to the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for this Commission. We much appreciate it. Thanks to all the poets and artists who participated in it.
Thanks to everyone for the last twenty years. We couldn’t have done it without you.
